Rural farms are becoming attractive tourist destinations also because more visitors are interested for "simpler" time. Visitors want to escape the hustle of city life and connect with natural and cultural heritage and enjoy a richer and authentic leisure experience. They want to learn, connect with genuine people engaged in a rural or agricultural lifestyle.

Many of us have a farm somewhere on our family tree. Maybe our parents were raised on a farm, or we have fond memories of spending summers on our grandparents' farms. Agritourism rekindles the positive emotions from these family visits.
